Andrew Pitt There's not enough praise that can be tossed at this album. It's atmoblack at it's absolute peak. That it still feels like real metal only makes it better. Favorite track: Archonsbane in Bloom.

bcb723 Arkheron Thodol have exceeded all expectations with their latest album. The first song, "A Glimpse of Woven Light", is almost too colossal and head-spinning to take in. The song seamlessly jumps between seemingly neverending melodic sections, time signature changes, up front keys and black metal screams. The song is huge, fantastic and sweat-inducing. And that's just the first track... the rest of the album maintains this high level of intricate complexity and melody. Seriously don't miss this! Favorite track: A Glimpse of Woven Light.

the songs span genres rather than blending them, and the experience is a truly multifaceted journey, I'm thoroughly impressed.

Dave Aftandilian Steep as the mountain is, climbing up through these pines feels more like release than work. Cares of the world drop away as I ascend; I walk in beauty, drinking crisp, clear air like the finest mead. I leave the realm of humanity behind, roaring and whimpering to become my truer self. Blood and sweat my offerings; the meaning of this fallen tree, this mossy tumbled boulder, my koans. Stumbling, halting, soaring….
